Over the course of the year, we get tons of questions about the Staff suite, so we created this FAQ to help answer them:
Q: Where is the Staff Suite?
A: To be decided
Q: What hours is it open?
A: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Q: Who can go in to Staff Suite?
A: Select Convention Guests, NDK Staff members, and their immediate family/significant others only. Sorry, no friends or distant relations.
Q: Can I leave my child in Staff Suite?
A: No, we cannot be responsible for the children of Staff Members. Staff suite is meant as an oasis for our staff from the hectic con floor. It is not intended as a babysitting service.
Q: What kind of snacks are up there?
A: There are fruit cups, granola bars, fruit snacks, fresh fruit, a variety of Japanese goodies, as well as nuts and chips. The type and availability is different from year to year depending on what is available to purchase.
Q: If I haven’t paid, can I go into the Suite during lunch hours?
A: Unfortunately, no. During lunch we need to have just the people who purchased a meal plan.
Q: Are the meals free?
A: Unfortunately, no. NDK is a 501 C-4 nonprofit organization, and we just can’t afford to purchase meals for each staff member, especially at hotel prices.
Instead, we ask that each staff member who wants to eat meals in the Staff Suite purchase a meal plan. It helps offset the costs of providing the meals.
Q: How much are the meals?
A: The cost of Staff Suite is $20.00 per person for the weekend. This covers lunch for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The lunch consists of a sandwich, a side (chips, or fruit, etc.) and a drink( sodas, juice, etc.).
As always children 10 and under are half the adult price. ($10.00)
Q: How can I pay for Staff Suite?
A: You can register here: https://rockymountainanime.org/shop/
Q: Can I pay for the Staff Suite at the con?
A: Yes. If you need to pay onsite at the convention, please send an email to staffsuite@ndkdenver.org with your name, staff position, and how many people you need to pay for, and their positions. This is VERY important as we need an accurate count of portions to order.
Q: Do you offer Gluten Free meals or cater to Allergies?
A: While we strive to provide options for everyone, we cannot always guarantee the safety of a dish. If you have any questions about whether or not a dish is safe for you, please look up the menu on the website of the food vendor. We will be posting the menu on the RMAA Website and in the Facebook Staff Group page as soon as the outside caterings are set, so you will have time to look up the menu.
Q: I am allergic to anything that casts a shadow. Can you order something special for me?
A: Unfortunately no. We have limited resources, and simply cannot cater meals to every single person’s dietary requirements.
